EPF & VPF Setup

AuditorTax calculates EPF and VPF contributions with mathematical precision — exact to the paisa, using the wage ceiling rules that were in effect on each specific date.

  • Employee contribution: 12% of basic + DA (capped at ₹15,000 wage ceiling)
  • Employer contribution: 12% of basic + DA, split between EPS (8.33%, capped at ₹15,000) and EPF (3.67%)
  • Wage ceiling: Correctly applied based on the rule version in effect on the payroll date

Once a payroll run is locked, EPF contributions cannot be modified. Every calculation is preserved with:

  • The exact rule version used
  • The wage ceiling in effect on that date
  • A SHA-256 hash of the payslip document

This means if EPFO auditors ask you to reproduce a March 2022 calculation in 2026, AuditorTax shows the exact rule snapshot used — and the numbers will match to the paisa.

Voluntary Provident Fund contributions are configured per employee. AuditorTax validates that VPF does not reduce total PF below statutory minimum.
