EPF & VPF Setup
EPF & VPF Setup
Section titled “EPF & VPF Setup”AuditorTax calculates EPF and VPF contributions with mathematical precision — exact to the paisa, using the wage ceiling rules that were in effect on each specific date.
How EPF is calculated
Section titled “How EPF is calculated”- Employee contribution: 12% of basic + DA (capped at ₹15,000 wage ceiling)
- Employer contribution: 12% of basic + DA, split between EPS (8.33%, capped at ₹15,000) and EPF (3.67%)
- Wage ceiling: Correctly applied based on the rule version in effect on the payroll date
Immutability guarantee
Section titled “Immutability guarantee”Once a payroll run is locked, EPF contributions cannot be modified. Every calculation is preserved with:
- The exact rule version used
- The wage ceiling in effect on that date
- A SHA-256 hash of the payslip document
This means if EPFO auditors ask you to reproduce a March 2022 calculation in 2026, AuditorTax shows the exact rule snapshot used — and the numbers will match to the paisa.
Voluntary Provident Fund contributions are configured per employee. AuditorTax validates that VPF does not reduce total PF below statutory minimum.
